Edinburgh Castle Located at the top of The Royal Mile in the centre of Edinburgh, Edinburgh's castle is the feather in the city's cap. The Crown Jewels of Scotland and the Stone of Destiny are housed here, as well as the Scottish United Services Museum and the Scottish National War Memorial. The area where the castle stands has been used for fortifications since the third century AD, and on a clear day the views over Fife show why the Scots simply refused to give up their land.
